Rahul Meets Punjab CM, Discusses Captain-Amit Shah Meet
Rahul Gandhi today met with Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi in a meeting that lasted over 2.5 hours. According to our sources the meeting was held to discuss the impact of Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's meet with Amit Shah. The Congress Party is fearing that some of its MLAs may follow the Captain and jump ship. The Captain has floated a new party amid a break-off from the Congress. He is most likely to form an alliance with the BJP spewing fresh troubles for the already dishevelled Congress. Captain Amarinder Singh has a huge following and enjoys wide popularity in Punjab and may be able to rock the boat in the politically volatile state.
