HOLYOKE – The International Volleyball Hall of Fame is gearing up to induct their newest class and welcome some of the most notable players from around the world. Executive Director George Mulry said the class was made up of nine inductees, including three Americans. The Holyoke Public Schools Athletic Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that William George Morgan has been selected for induction as a Contributor. Morgan was the inventor of Volleyball, originally called "Mintonette", a name derived from the game of badminton which he later agreed to change to better reflect the nature of the sport.
